FAQ

What is BioKinesiology?

BioKinesiology is an holistic approach to healthcare. It assesses the biochemistry of the body to ascertain from where symptoms arise. It assesses digestion, gut health, hormones and other aspects of body chemistry to look for intolerances, toxins, viruses or other issues that may be causing illness.

How does BioKinesiology work?

BioKinesiology uses a system of muscle testing to assess what is going on in the body. Muscle testing has been used for generations to assess the health of the body. Techniques and concepts from the world of chiropractice have been blended with the art of acupuncture to give an insight into the systems of the body.

What do I have to do in a consultation?

Please bring with you any medication or supplements that you are taking at the moment. You will need to discuss your symptoms and your current diet. I will ask you to lie on a plinth, fully clothed, and I will gently perform muscle tests on your body.

What should I wear?

Loose fitting comfortable clothes, and ideally, trousers as you will have to lift your legs and arms for muscle testing.

How long is a consultation and how much does it cost?

A consultation usually lasts an hour and costs €80 (cash or card). Most clients require a follow up treatment though improvement is often felt after the first treatment. A charge of €80 is made for missed appointments or those cancelled within 48 hours.

How do you deal with food intolerances?

It may be necessary to remove that food from the diet for health to improve. For some it will only be for a short time while we strengthen the digestive system, especially if the intolerance comes from underactive enzymes. For others the food may need to be removed from the diet indefinitely. It is important to remember that everyone is an individual and there are no hard and fast rules.

Is BioKinesiology suitable for children?

Many of my clients are children and babies who have greatly benefited from their treatment. BioKinesiology can be used to help people of any age.

What do I need to do following a consultation?

I will give you advice on diet, lifestyle and supplements which will help improve your health. I cannot make you better – that is up to you! I do not give restrictive plans that are impossible to follow – rather small changes that done every day make big changes to overall health. I hope you will feel empowered to take charge of your own health.
